2008It's been a while but I had some troubles with my internet. I recently discovered this band and I love it. Imagine the most fuzzed out sixties garage rock you know, run it through some distortion pedals, add a bit of feedback, some reverb and play it through a broken vox amp. Now add some frantic singing, and an organist on drugs.
Acid Eater is founded by Masao Yamazaki(
Masonna) and Fusao Toda (
Angel' In Heavy Syrup) whom have already collaborated with each other in
Christine 23 Onna. I can't find a lot on Acid Eater but I do know that
Christine 23 Onna is psychedelic, has the same two core members and has a record called Acid Eater. Enjoy!

yeah thx great stuff
!! I have been looking for this forever, thanks a lot! Viva la Whale.
Ooh, this is really good. Reminds me of all those trashy lo-fi bands from the 90's, like the Rip-Offs. Teengenerate, Supercharger, and the Reatards. I'll never grow out of this style. Thanks. (And the cover art is pretty nice, too.)
I'm happy you guys like it.
Hey, I, too have been lookin' fer ever, so TANX EVIL WHALE! I have all of Christine 23 Onna's stuff (except the first one which I have on vinyl only) if you need it. It's actually a bit different. Where Acid Eater is pared down 60's Punk in the most primitive manner, C23O are like the Hollywood version of psychedelic rock - very soundtracky and lush, maybe even approaching the generic 'library' style - BUT! It's all slathered in copious sheets of screeching synth noise! It can be so brutal that people will beg you to make it stop.
Not nearly as fun as Acid Eater, true, but certainly worth your time.
Yeah, I have one Christine 23 Onna record on my computer (shiny crystal planet) but I haven't had the chance to listen to it.
I'd start with 'Acid Eater'. Lemme know if you want 'em!
